Music was my first love.
At the age of 11 I made the tough decision to follow my friends in signing up for choir in middle school. I hated singing and the idea of learning songs sounded boring to me... but one day I discovered just how cool it was to be able to read a lyric or two directly from the play without my teacher playing the melody first. I was hooked.
I worked hard to join both my middle and high school's advanced choirs. I traveled and competed with them every year, thrilled when we would take home a trophy of our hard work. Once I booked my first theatrical lead, amber in Hairspray, I did everything performing-related that I possibly could. By the time I was a senior in high school, I was the PR Manager and on the board of Thespian Troupe 7716, Co-Captain and eventual MVP winner for our Comedy Sportz improv troupe, acted in all 4 mainstage shows plus a few smaller ones, directed 1.5 plays I wrote, and had solos in both the Advanced Mixed and Advanced Women's Choirs. Not to mention my membership in both National Honor Society and California Scholarship Federation!
I continued singing lessons through college and was cast in two of their musicals.
Now I enjoy singing Country Pop and am exploring Folk style singing.
